Gophers Set for Windy City Invite

The University of Minnesota women's golf team will return to the course this Monday, taking part in the 2015 Windy City Collegiate Classic. The 54-hole tournament, spread over two days, will feature 15 teams including the Gophers, five representing the Big Ten and all but two from Power 5 conferences.
Action is set to begin with tee times on Monday morning at the 6,291-yard, par-72 Westmoreland Country Club, with live scoring provided on Golfstat.
Minnesota will send a five-person lineup to Illinois comprised of sophomores Celia Kuenster, Heather Ciskowski and Sabrine Garrison, along with junior Emie Peronnin and freshman Muyu Wu. Kuenster leads the team and ranks 28th nationally with a 70.02 scoring average, including her medalist finish at last month's Minnesota Invitational.
Ciskowski finished in the top-20 at the Mercedes-Benz Championships (+6, T-18th) while Garrison shot her lowest career round of 69 in the final round in Knoxville. Peronnin placed T-38th at that competition (+11) while Wu is making her second appearance as a Gopher after debuting at home in September, where she finished tied for 52nd (+20).
Besides the Gophers, the Big Ten is represented this week by host Northwestern along with Ohio State, Purdue, and Wisconsin. Rounding out the field is Arizona, Arizona State, Florida, Georgia, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Southern California, Tulane, UC Davis and Virginia Tech.
