Border Battle sweeps and dominant victories helped highlight another week of Gophers teams among the top-25 polls. Below is a summary of how each ranked squad performed.

Women’s Hockey - #1 (USCHO.com), #1 (USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine)
Last Week: The Gophers continued their unblemished start to their national title defense, as the Gophers swept Ohio State in a WCHA series on the road, winning by scores of 7-2 and 11-2. Minnesota is now 6-0 on the year, winning games by an average margin of 6.5 goals.
Coming Up: Minnesota is back at home, hosting rival Minnesota Duluth on Friday (6:07 p.m.) and Saturday (4:07 p.m.) at Ridder Arena.
Volleyball – #9
Last Week: Two wins over Wisconsin, one in Madison and one at home, helped lift the Gophers up two spots in the AVCA rankings to ninth, their highest ranking since November 2013. In the latest NCAA RPI ranks, the Maroon and Gold are even higher as they sit seventh.
Coming Up: The Gophers travel to No. 3 Nebraska and Iowa Friday and Saturday nights. Both match times are set for 7 p.m.
Soccer - #19
Last Week: Minnesota suffered a 1-0 setback against Michigan State on Thursday evening at home, before playing to a scoreless draw on Sunday against Michigan.
This Week: The Gophers’ final road trip of the regular season comes on Friday as they travel to New Jersey to face Rutgers.
Men’s Hockey - #19 [tie] (USCHO.com), RV (USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine)
Last Week: The Gophers fell to Vermont, 3-0, in their season opener at the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game at Mariucci Arena.
Coming Up: Minnesota plays a home-and-home weekend series against rival Minnesota-Duluth, hosting the Bulldogs on Friday evening at Mariucci before traveling north for Saturday night’s contest. Both games begin at 7:00 p.m.
Women’s Cross Country - #22
Last Week: The Gophers moved up one spot in the poll after competing in two races this weekend. A 15th-place finish came for the Maroon and Gold at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational on Friday, while twelve Minnesota harriers posted career-best 6K times at the Tori Neubauer Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse.
Coming Up: Minnesota hosts Jack’s Twilight Run on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Les Bolstad Course.
