Eric Colvin Picks Up TC 5K Title

SAINT PAUL, Minn. (GopherSports.com) -- Gopher redshirt sophomore Eric Colvin won the 2015 TC 5K on Saturday morning while six University of Minnesota men's cross country runners finished in the top 10.
A native of Lake Elmo, Minn., Colvin ran a 14:58 for the five-kilometer course to pace the field of almost 1,000 men and nearly 3,000 total runners. Meanwhile, fellow redshirt sophomore Wayde Hall finished third overall in the race with a time of 15:08.
Colvin and Hall were previously teammates at Stillwater High School and helped the Ponies win back-to-back state cross country titles in 2011 and 2012.
Meanwhile, Minnesota redshirt sophomore Brad Woodford came in fourth at 15:10 while freshman Shane Streich finished fifth at 15:16. Sophomore Derek Wiebke cross the finish line at 15:39 to finish eighth while freshman Evan Ferlic was 10th overall at 15:50.
