Team / Series Notes
• Tonight's game was the 102nd all-time meeting in football between Minnesota and Michigan, with the Wolverines now holding a 74-25-3 lead in the series.
• For the 96th time, the teams played for one of the best rivalry trophies in college football, The Little Brown Jug. On this day in 1903, Michigan mistakenly left the jug in Minneapolis following a 6-6 tie. The Wolverines hold a 70-23-3 lead in the series when the teams have played for The Jug.
• Interim head coach Tracy Claeys coached his first official game as a head coach tonight. During 2013, Claeys served as acting head coach for seven games, going 4-3 during that stretch, but those games were credited to retired head coach Jerry Kill.
• Tonight's crowd of 50,709 was the first non-sellout this season. Minnesota is averaging 53,132 fans through five home games this season.
• Tonight's game was Minnesota's seventh in its past 12 games in which its opponent was ranked among the Associated Press Top 25. The Gophers' final four games during 2014 were against nationally-ranked foes, and Michigan was the third Top 25 team Minnesota has faced this season. The Gophers are 1-6 in those games.
• Minnesota's 16 points in the first half is the most allowed by Michigan in the opening 30 minutes this season.
• The Gophers' total of 26 points is the second-most allowed by Michigan this season. The Wolverines gave up 27 points in the loss to Michigan State two weeks ago and allowed 24 in their season-opening
• Minnesota's rushing total of 144 yards is the most allowed by Michigan this season. The Wolverines entered tonight's game ranked second nationally in rushing defense, allowing just 64.7 yards per game.

Individual Notes
• Mitch Leidner completed 16-of-33 passes for a career-high 317 yards. Over the past two games, Leidner has completed 42-of-73 pass attempts for 618 yards and two touchdowns. The back-to-back 300-yard passing totals (301 vs Nebraska, 317 vs Michigan) have been career-bests.
• Leidner's 24-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was the longest of his career. Leidner now has 21 career rushing touchdowns covering 91 yards, and his longest scoring run had previously been 10 yards.
• Rodney Smith led Minnesota in rushing with 12 carries for 74 yards, an average of 6.2 yards per attempt.
• Rashad Still caught his first career touchdown, a 52-yard pass from Mitch Leidner, in the second quarter. The pass play was Minnesota's longest this season. Still finished with two catches for 69 yards, with the yardage total being a single-game high.
• Brandon Lingen finished with career-highs of five catches for 111 yards, including a career-long reception of 38 yards.
• K.J. Maye finished with six receptions for 58 yards. He leads the Gophers with 39 catches for 408 yards this season.
• Ryan Santoso established career-highs for points by kicking (14) and field goals made in a game (four). His previous bests had been 12 points at Michigan on Sept. 27, 2014, and three field goals made (twice), last at Colorado State on Sept. 12. Santoso's field goals were from 23, 30, 32 and 47 yards.

• Cody Poock tied his career-high with 10 tackles (four solo), including one TFL.
