Gophers Complete First Two Rounds in Chicago

WILMETTE, Ill. - Sophomore Heather Ciskowski, playing just miles from her hometown of Barrington, Ill., sits tied for 14th place as she paced the Minnesota women's golf team on the opening day of the Windy City Collegiate Classic at Westmoreland Country Club.
Ciskowski finished the day two-under-par after rounds of 72 and 70 at the 6,291-yard, par-72 course, where she is just five shots off the leader. Five shots behind is classmate Sabrine Garrison, who is tied for 44th at three-over (72-75-147). Fellow sophomore Celia Kuenster improved seven strokes from round to round as she is tied for 59th (79-71-150) at six-over-par.
Junior Emie Peronnin (79-76-155) and freshman Muyu Wu (78-77-155) rounded out the lineup as the duo is tied for 73rd place.
Georgia's Bailey Tardy and Northwestern's Hannah Kim are atop the leaderboard at -7, while the Bulldogs hold the team lead at 14-under-par. As a team, the Gophers sit 13th at +17 (301-292-593).
The Windy City Collegiate Classic concludes Tuesday morning, with the final round set to begin with tee times at 7:30 a.m.
