 The No. 3 University of Minnesota earned a 3-0 win (25-18, 25-17, 25-14) over Maryland, tonight at the Sports Pavilion. With the win, the Golden Gophers improve to 24-3 overall and 16-1 in Big Ten play. Minnesota's win streak is now at 15-straight.
 The Gophers received a balanced attack from multiple individuals in the win. Daly Santana had a double-double with 15 kills, 11 digs, while Hannah Tapp had 10 kills and hit .600. Sarah Wilhite added 10 kills, an ace and three blocks, while Paige Tapp hit .438 (8-1-16). Samantha Seliger-Swenson had a double-double with 39 assists and a team-high 12 digs, while Molly Lohman had a match-high five blocks.
 Minnesota hits the road when it travels to No. 15 Purdue, Saturday night, at 6 p.m. CT.
 Set Breakdown: Set 1: The Gophers used a .467 hitting clip and 17 kills to take a 25-18 set win and a 1-0 lead. Minnesota held the lead at the 2-1 mark held the lead for the remainder of the set. Minnesota later led 10-7 off a Santana kill, and 13-8 off a Lohman/H Tapp block. Wilhite added a kill for a 16-9 lead, while a Seliger-Swenson/P Tapp block put the Gophers up, 18-11. After Maryland took a timeout at the 19-12 mark, the Terps went on a 5-2 run and cut the Gopher lead to 21-17. Minnesota, however, finished off the set with back-to-back kills from P Tapp for the 25-18 win.
 Set 2: Minnesota hit .344 in the second set for a 25-17 lead and went up, 2-0. Minnesota erased an early Maryland lead to tie the set at 4-4 and would take a 9-7 lead off a Santana kill. A Wilhite kill pushed the score to a 14-11 lead, while a Katie Schau ace added a 17-11 lead. As Maryland took a timeout at the 18-11 Gopher advantage, the Terps went on a 4-1 run to cut the lead to 18-14, but Minnesota went up 21-15 off a Santana kill as Maryland exhausted its second timeout. The Gophers added back-to-back blocks for a 22nd and 23rd point, while Santana put it at set point. The Gophers closed out the set with another Santana kill to go up, 2-0.
 Set 3: After the two teams traded points through 6-6, Minnesota took a 9-6 lead off a Wilhite ace. The Gophers then went up 13-8 on a Rosado kill, while Seliger-Swenson added an ace for a 14-8 lead. A Santana/Lohman block pushed the score to 16-8, while a Lohman kill gave the Gophers an 18-9 advantage. Wilhite added a kill for a 20-11 lead. Maryland called a timeout as Minnesota led, 21-12, but the Gophers continued to pour on the pressure with a Santana kill and a Seliger-Swenson kill. Minnesota closed out the match with two kills from Santana for the win.
