Minnesota hit the road for the first time this season by heading out East to Troy, N.Y. for the Northeast Duals, ending a nine-year absence from the event.

The Gophers took on one of the most difficult schedules of any school in the 20-team field, challenging No. 5 Lehigh, No. 12 NC State and No. 13 North Carolina. Minnesota opened the day with a narrow 20-17 loss to the Tar Heels, followed by a hard-fought 22-12 defeat against the Mountain Hawks and a 31-3 loss to the Wolfpack, results that evened the Gophers record this season at 3-3.

Minnesota returns home for its first dual in the Sports Pavilion this season when the team hosts Air Force this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. For updates throughout that match and to keep up with the latest news around the program in general, follow Gopher Wrestling on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
