Postgame Quotes: Clemson

Minnesota Head Coach Richard Pitino
Opening Statement...
"It was a great win especially versus a very big team, a very good rebounding team. We showed a lot of heart. It was exciting because Murphy was the standout from the game statistically but I thought Kevin Dorsey came in and really changed the game. We decided to pressure more in the second half and I thought that was effective. So overall, really proud of the guys that was a very good win, a character win, so I'm proud of them."
On his trust in Dorsey...
"After tonight I will put more trust in him. He was better. He's got an erratic game at times but today he showed a lot of discipline. He's so fast and he made some winning plays today."
On Murphy's performance tonight...
"He's got two nicknames, low-motor Murph or high-motor Murph, tonight was high-motor Murph. I think I'm getting to him because he played really hard tonight. He was the best player on the court, which is exciting."
Clemson Head Coach Brad Brownell
On chances to take a more commanding lead at the end of the first half...
Senior Joey King
On Murphy's play...
"The way he played today and the way he was physical and just brought it every single possession, that's just something that over his next four years he's very capable of doing and I think he can make a very big impact on this program."
On the team's play tonight...
Freshman Jordan Murphy
On Pitino's motivation...
"He's [Pitino] been calling me 'low-motor murph' for about two weeks now, so I think that got to me a little bit, to be honest with you. It really did irk me a little bit at first but then it was just a challenge, that he gave me so I think you just have to respond well to it."
"I think that our biggest enemies have been ourselves. I think that we're holding ourselves back. We have a lot of potential to be a good team. I think that sometimes we get in our heads a little bit and I think that we've been going away from the pressure and I think we need to go face first into the pressure."
