We have been catching up some of the Gophers the past month. This week we checked in with junior pitcher Hannah Evavold.
Gopher Sports: How is the final stretch of the semester going for you?
Hannah Evavold: The semester is in crunch time right how and I have a week and a half left. It's a lot of work but its also relieving to know we will have a break soon. I also like this time of the semester because softball is optional but all of my teammates choose to workout together and get better anyways and that is a fulfilling feeling.
GS: If you could go on vacation with any teammate or coach who would you go with and where would you go?
HE: I would go to Cancun, Mexico. It is one of my favorite places on earth. I would go with (Kayla) Wenner because she is always open for adventure.
GS: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
HE: Being able to fly because getting to places fast especially in the winter months would be awesome. I do not like the cold weather and travel during the winter months.
GS: Best Netflix show to binge watch?
HE: Property Brothers. I love any type of show involving house searching and this show is about buying an old house and fixing it up.
GS: Who is the funniest person on the team?
HE: Paige (Palkovich), she can always make me laugh and has been since I met her seven years ago or so.
GS: In the spirit of the holiday season what are you most thankful for from your time on the Gopher softball team?
HE: Thankful for the opportunities I have had and the lessons I have learned through going through the process of being a student-athlete at this University. I am also extremely thankful for all of my teammates and for the relationships I have gained while being here.
GS: Most looking forward to this season?
HE: I love traveling to sunny places with my team and getting to play at different Universities. It is also a fun break from school to get away and be on the road with friends.
