Minnesota Head Coach Marlene Stollings
On the Gophers' post play:
"We're dealing with all newcomers who have only been here not quite three months yet, where normally this would have been like month six or seven for them. So I think they're starting to adapt a little bit to the physicality. We're certainly nowhere where we need to be with it but I think what we saw today was an adjustment in that area with them."
On the team having a few off days:
"Yeah so they'll have two and a half days here for break, but no different than most people in the country. You know, its basketball season. So a little bit of time with their families and then we're right back after it and then we open big ten play."
On bouncing back from last week with a win today:
"We didn't work hard in the last game and that's not common for us. No excuses. We watched it on film and what a big adjustment today, especially defensively, is what I'm talking about. We let our offense impact us too much when we're missing shots and today we missed some of those same shots but we didn't let us affect us as much. That was the growth and maturity I was looking for."
Senior Guard Mikayla Bailey
On taking multiple charges:
"I know, it's great. I think you know that our team is catching on. We have got to take charges to get the stop and I was just setting my feet and taking them because they were coming in. It's just a read I make and I'll take them every time if I can."
On winning despite having a disadvantage in the rebounding category:
"We definitely need to work in that area, definitely. We work every day in practice, working on our rebounding so it's an area were focusing on. We're going to work on that for Big Ten and it's going to get a lot better."
