Dollar Day Highlights January Promotions

MINNEAPOLIS - The Golden Gopher women's hockey team returns to action following the holiday break with an exhibition game against the Minnesota Whitecaps on Wednesday, Jan. 6 before officially kicking off the second half of the regular season with home series against Ohio State Jan. 9-10 and Minnesota State Jan. 16-17.
The team's January promotions include Dollar Day, Jersey Day, and High School Weekend, along with multiple ticket specials. Gopherbruary Ticket Packages are on sale throughout the month of January; fans can receive a Gopher women's hockey long-sleeve shirt and one ticket to any February game for only $10 while supplies last.
The full promotions schedule for January 2016 is outlined below.
Jan. 6 vs. Minnesota Whitecaps
All fans receive FREE admission for the winter exhibition game against the Minnesota Whitecaps, a post-collegiate elite team including several Gopher women's hockey alumni.
Jan. 9-10 vs. Ohio State
Join the Gophers at Ridder Arena to 'Rink' in the New Year at the first official game of 2016, which will feature New Year's promotions such as social media contests and a digital time capsule. Saturday's game also features a giveaway for Gopher Women's Hockey Youth VIP Season Pass-holders.
Game two of the series against Ohio State is Dollar Day. All general admission tickets are $1 online or at the door.
Jan. 16-17 vs. Minnesota State
The Gophers' series with Minnesota State marks the team's annual High School Weekend. High school teams wishing to attend should submit rosters with players' and coaches' names at least 24 hours prior to Saturday's game to Kathryn Dillin at kmdillin@umn.edu.
The series against the Mavericks also features a Below Zero BOGO ticket special. If the outside temperature drops below zero degrees Fahrenheit the week of the series, all tickets are buy one, get one free to both games. The promotion begins at midnight on Jan. 10 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Jan. 15. Tickets must be ordered online, in advance, and during sale hours.
Game one of the series with the Mavericks on Saturday is also Jersey Day. All fans are encouraged to wear a hockey jersey to the game. Let's see how many different teams we can represent at Ridder Arena!
Saturday's game also features a VIP Guest Pass giveaway. All Gopher Women's Hockey Youth VIP Season Pass members receive two complimentary guest passes for the game. Tickets must be purchased online and in advance; more information will be available at MyGopherSports.com.
