Kolander Named NSCAA All-American

MINNEAPOLIS- The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) named junior forward Simone Kolander to the 2015 NSCAA All-American Third Team.
Along with being named an All-American, Kolander also earned All-Great Lakes Region First Team honors.
The junior closed a storied 2015 campaign with collecting a bevy of awards, including B1G Offensive Player of the Week (9/22), the second B1G weekly laurel of her career after contributing the game-winning goals to the Gopher's 2-1 victory over Ohio State and the 1-0 win over the Nittany Lions of Penn State, the 2015 NCAA Champions. Kolander was also named the espnW Player of the Week (9/23), Big Ten Forward of the Year and was named to the Big Ten Conference First Team.
After starting in all 22 of the Maroon and Gold's matches, Kolander led the team with 10 goals, six of which were game-winners and earned 21 points with her shot count at 53.
