In the latest episode of Coach's Corner, Head Assistant Coach Brandon Eggum provides his thoughts on the team's third-place performance at last weekend's Cliff Keen Invitational, as well as looking ahead to this Friday's dual against Indiana.
Minnesota finished third last weekend in Las Vegas against a 40-team field that included 12 ranked squads. Three Gophers led the way with runner-up finishes ââ'¬" No. 10 Jake Short (149), No. 5 Brett Pfarr (197) and No. 8 Michael Kroells (285). Short's performance earned him a national ranking for the first time in his Gopher career.
In addition to looking ahead to the team's dual against Indiana this Friday at the Sports Pavilion, he also shares names of some of the Gopher alums who will be competing in the U.S. Open two weeks from now in an effort to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
