Postgame Quotes
Opening Statement
"We beat a very good team. A very well -coached team, I've got a lot of respect for them. I thought our guys stepped up when they needed to, making big free throws, making big plays, but more than anything we got stops when we needed to. It's only worth one, but I'm certainly proud of it so we'll celebrate tonight and move on tomorrow."
Defensive play
"(It was) Really good, really good. We went bigger in that starting line-up. We went with Buggs over Carlos (Morris) because I wanted more size. Bugs played well until he had that meltdown in the last two minutes. He did a lot of really good things defensively, did a lot of good things on Uthoff for most of it because we needed more size out there. I thought defensively we were really really good."
Mo Walker's steal in final seconds
"It was big because guys get scared to be aggressive in that spot. They just want to be passive so for him to have that alertness to get a steal and then to knock down big free throws was huge."
Sticking with Buggs
"I think I'll stick with it a little more, I like it, I think he's practicing hard and he's getting better. Tonight will be good for him, kind of having that mini-meltdown as I call it, that'll be good for him because he'll grow from it. He's got to learn he can be a good player, but I like it. Obviously we won so I like it, we'll stick with it."
