The Gophers spent last weekend in Columbus competing in the 2015 Big Ten Championships. Eight Minnesota wrestlers placed in the event, building up 108 team points to give the Gophers a third-place finish. It was the 18th time in the past 19 seasons the Gophers have finished top-three at Big Tens.

Headlining that class of eight Minnesota placewinners was Chris Dardanes, who continued his undefeated season by claiming the conference's 133-pound crown. The individual conference title was the first of his career. Two other Gophers wrestled for titles, with Dylan Ness (157) and Brett Pfarr (184) finishing as runners-up at their respective weights. Another pair of Gophers finished third - Nick Dardanes (141) and Scott Schiller (197) - while Logan Storley (174) placed fourth, Michael Kroells (285) placed fifth and Ethan Lizak (125) placed seventh.
