Gophers Head to BYU Entrada Classic

March 15, 2015 The University of Minnesota women's golf team will travel to Utah this week to take part in the two-day, 54-hole BYU Entrada Classic.

Last season, Minnesota claimed the first team tournament win since the 2007-08 season on the final day of the tournament (312-318-301--931).
Along with the team title, senior Anna Laorr finished tied for the individual championship with six-over-par (75-75-72--222).
Fellow senior, Carmen Laguna and sophomore Emie Peronnin both finished within the top 20 golfers after firing (78-81-77--236) and (80-81-78--239), respectively.
Last Time Out - Hurricane Invite
Two weekends ago, the Maroon and Gold traveled to Miami, Fla. for the Hurricane Invite in which they finished fifth with a +26 over par (293-295-290--878). The final 18-hole performance was good enough to move the team up two spots for the final placement.
Laguna (76-72-72--220) and Laorr (71-73-76--220) both tied for 21st with seven-over-par.Freshman Celia Kuenster finished nine-over-par, tying her for 33rd (73-75-74--222) while fellow freshman fired 13-over (77-75-74--226) to round out the Gopher lineup.
Freshman Heather Ciskowski competed individually for the Gophers and shot +14 landing her tied for 56th (77-76-74--227).
Looking Ahead
Next weekend, the Gophers will travel to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. for the Web.com Intercollegiate tournament.

Joining the Gophers for the upcoming tournament are host team, Brigham Young along with fellow Big Ten member Iowa. Rounding out the field is Boise State, California, Dixie State, Kansas State, North Texas, San Francisco, Southern Utah, Texas State, Utah Valley, Weber State, Wyoming and Yale.
