Team / Series Notes
• Tonight's game was the 188th all-time meeting in men's basketball between Minnesota and Wisconsin, with the Gophers holding a 96-92 lead in the series (not counting Minnesota's vacated games).
• Minnesota has a 63-33 advantage in games played in Minneapolis, and the Gophers have won four of the past six versus the Badgers at The Barn. Tonight's UW victory was the Badgers' first in the past three games here.
• Head coach Richard Pitino's record at Minnesota dropped to 42-26, while his three-year overall record now stands at 60-40. The game was Pitino's 100th as a head coach.
• Tonight's game was Coach Pitino's fifth (1-4) against the Badgers, and he is now 15-22 versus teams from the Big Ten.
• Minnesota fell to 13-4 at Williams Arena this season. The Gophers are now 31-7 at The Barn under Richard Pitino.
• Tonight's sold out attendance of 14,625 was the largest home crowd this season for Minnesota. The Gophers are averaging 12,175 through 17 home dates.
• The Gophers entered the game ranked third nationally in steals per game (10.0) and 13th in assists (15.9), and finished the game with five steals, while dishing out 12 assists versus the Badgers.
• Minnesota increased this season's team steals total to 294, which is just five shy of a new single-season record (298 during 2007-08). Since Richard Pitino took over the program, the Gophers have recorded 583 steals in 68 games, an average of 8.6 per contest.
• Minnesota forced nine Wisconsin turnovers, which tied for the most the Badgers have committed in a Big Ten game this season.
• The Gophers had just eight turnovers for the fifth time this season. Minnesota's season-best is six in the loss at Iowa.
• Two Minnesota players reached double figures for points, and eight of the nine players who played in the game for the Gophers scored points.
• The Gophers made 6-of-16 (.375) three-pointers. It was the 26th time this season that Minnesota made six or more treys in a game.

Individual Notes
• Freshman guard Nate Mason made his fifth career start and led the team with 15 points, making 6-of-12 field goals, including 3-of-5 from three-point range. It is Mason's 16th double-figure scoring game this season.
• Junior guard Carlos Morris reached double-digits for the 17th time this season, finishing with 11 points
• Senior guard Andre Hollins finished with five points and a team-best four assists.
• Hollins increased his career point total to 1,739, and he remains fourth on Minnesota's all-time list. Randy Breuer (1979-82) is third with 1,777 points.
• With two three-point field goal attempts, Hollins became Minnesota's all-time leader with 683. He moved past Blake Hoffarber (2007-11), who had held the record with 682 career attempts.
• Senior forward Maurice Walker pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds and scored seven points. It was Walker's fourth double-figure rebounding game of his career, all of them taking place this season.
• Senior guard DeAndre Mathieu made 4-of-8 field goals to finish with nine points.
• Junior forward Joey King registered seven points and five rebounds.
