MINNEAPOLIS - University of Minnesota sophomore center Amanda Zahui B. earned a spot on the 2015 Big Ten Women's Basketball All-Tournament Team Sunday after averaging 23.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 7.0 blocks per game in two contests at the event, the league office announced Sunday night.
Over the course of the tournament, Zahui B. totaled 46 points, 22 rebounds and a Big Ten Tournament record 14 blocks. The center also shot .552 (16-29) from the field and was 14-of-17 from the free throw line.
Zahui B. becomes just the third Gopher all-time to be named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team, joining Janel McCarville (2004, 2005) and Jamie Brobak (2005) as Minnesota's previous selections to the squad.
Along with her single-tournament record of 14 total blocks, Zahui B. recorded just the second triple-double in Big Ten Tournament history with 25 points, 11 rebounds and another Big Ten Tournament record with 11 blocks against Ohio State on Thursday night. McCarville notched the Big Ten Tournament's other triple-double in 2004 with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals against the Buckeyes.
