GopherSports: Why did you decide to attend the University of Minnesota?
Alex Cisneros: I decided to come to Minnesota because I had heard so many great things about experiencing the four seasons! I came from always sunny California, so I wanted to try something completely new! And what better than the harshest of winters?
GS: What is your most memorable swimming moment?
AC: My first Big Tens. I had never felt such a strong team atmosphere like I did during the first night of Big Tens. Everyone was cheering, and going crazy for everything.
GS: What is your favorite part of being a Golden Gopher?
AC: The community I have become apart of. Anytime I wear a Minnesota shirt outside of the state of Minnesota, someone will stop and say "Go Gophers!" It's a wonderful group of people within the Golden Gopher community.
GS: What is your favorite pre-race song?
AC: Danza Kuduro by Don Omar
GS: What is the best advice you have received from one of the coaches at Minnesota?
AC: "Just go have fun" --Kelly Kremer
GS: What is your dream job?
AC: Endodontist, Root canals all day every day.
GS: What is your favorite post-meet meal?
AC: Raising Canes.
GS: Do you have any other hobbies outside of swimming?
AC: Jigsaw puzzles, something about doing them is extremely relaxing.
GS: What do you plan on doing after graduation?
AC: I am attending Minnesota's Dental School starting in August, four more years ofschool.
GS: Want to give a shout out to anyone?
AC: My family, for always supporting me throughout everything I have ever done and Lissa, for putting up with my morning alarms every day.
