NAPA, Calif. -Senior Carmen Laguna fired back-to-back rounds of 74 to tie for 10th place after 36 holes on the first day of the Silverado Showdown on Monday. Laguna leads the Minnesota women's golf team, which sits 12th with 18 more holes to play in the Gophers' regular-season finale at the Silverado Resort North Course.

Laguna is among three golfers tied at four-over-par 148. A pair of Gophers in freshman Celia Kuenster (78-77) and sophomore Emie Peronnin (78-77) are among a 12-way deadlock for 35th place at 11-over-par 155. Minnesota seniors Anna Laorr (80-87--167) and Sarinee Thitiratanakorn (83-84--167) are both tied for 74th place at 23-over-par.

In the team standings, the Gophers are one shot clear of New Mexico after posting rounds of 310 and 312 for a total score of 622, +46.

Colorado's Esther Lee holds the 36-hole lead at three-under-par 141, while Oregon is atop the team leaderboard at 13-over-par 589.
The Silverado Showdown concludes Tuesday with a 8:30 a.m. PT shotgun start.
