Live Scoring

The Golden Gopher men's golf team will play in the Hawkeye-GRE Invitational April 18-19. There will be two rounds on Saturday in Iowa City and one on Sunday.

The travel squad: Jose Mendez, Rúnar Arnórsson, Jon DuToit, Riley Johnson and Charlie Duensing will play for Minnesota this weekend. Mendez is the only Gopher to be in the lineup in every tournament this season.

The field: Denver, DePaul, Idaho, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Marquette, Nebraska, Washington State and Wichita State join host Iowa and the Gophers in the 12-team field.

The course: Finkbine Golf Course will play at 7,239 yards and a par of 72. The course has hosted events such as the Amana VIP Pro-Am and the Big Ten Championships.

Notes:
*The Gophers finished third at last year's Hawkeye Invite. Mendez placed third individually.
*Mendez's season stroke average is 71.64. If he continues that pace, his average this year will supplant last year's (71.97) as the third-best season scoring average in program history.
*Minnesota will again see former assistant coach Tyler Stith, who is now the head coach at Iowa.
