INDIANAPOLIS - Senior Carmen Laguna fired an even-par 72 on the final day at the Fort Golf Course to lead the Minnesota women's golf team, which finished in seventh place at the 2015 Big Ten Championships.

Laguna finished the tournament in a tie for 21st place (75-76-72--223), with sophomore Emie Peronnin (73-76-75--224) one stroke back and tied for 25th. One shot behind her was freshman Sabrine Garrison (73-79-73--225), who tied for 29th place.

Senior Anna Laorr also shot a 73 on the final day to finish tied for 36th (78-76-73--227), while fellow senior Sarinee Thitiratanakorn was 66th (78-79-79--236). Freshman Celia Kuenster rounded out the Gopher lineup one stroke behind in a tie for 67th (77-79-81--237).

As a team, the Gophers posted their best round of the tournament Sunday, finishing with a score of 898 (298-307-293--898). Northwestern and Ohio State shared the team title with a score of 863, with the Wildcats' Sarah Cho taking home individual medalist honors at three-under-par 213.

The Gophers will await their postseason fate until the 2015 NCAA Women's Golf Championships field is announced Monday evening at 6 p.m. CT, televised live on the Golf Channel.
