Mendez Finishes Season at Bremerton Regional

The Golden Gophers' Jose Mendez concluded his sophomore campaign at the NCAA Bremerton Regional. He tied for 52nd at Gold Mountain Golf Club with 7-over-par score of 223 in 54 holes.
Mendez closed with a 1-over 73 on Saturday. He made three birdies and four bogeys. Thursday's even-par 72 was Mendez's top round of the weekend.
Mendez finished the season with a 71.74 scoring average. That average ranks third in the Gophers' season record books, ahead of Mendez's 71.97 freshman average.
UAB (-21) won the Bremerton Regional's team title. South Carolina, USC, TCU and Washington will also advance to the NCAA Championships. Washington's Cheng-Tsung Pan (-13) captured medalist honors, and Kyle Mueller (-2) of Michigan will advance as an individual.
