Minnesota Claims Border Battle over Wisconsin

In the annual battle for border supremacy, the University of Minnesota claimed the 2014-15 Border Battle over the University of Wisconsin. The Golden Gophers outscored the Badgers, 465-415, in the annual all-sports rivalry which tracks head-to-head results in 22 sports.

The Golden Gophers clinched the Border Battle on Sunday with a third-place finish at the Big Ten Women's Track & Field Championships and a sixth-place finish at the Big Ten Men's Track & Field Championships. The Badgers finished ninth and eighth, respectively

Minnesota claimed the maximum number of 40 points in the sports of Women's Basketball, Men's Tennis, Women's Swimming & Diving, Men's Track & Field, Women's Track & Field (outdoor), Women's Tennis, Wrestling, Men's Golf and Softball.

With six wins in the last seven years, Minnesota leads the all-time Border Battle series by a 7-4 margin.
