Gopher Wrestling Hitting the Links on Monday
6/28/2015 12:00:00 AM | Wrestling
For the 28th consecutive summer, the Gopher Wrestling community will come together on the golf course for an afternoon of camaraderie and competition at the Gopher Wrestling Golf Classic. Student-athletes, coaches, friends and fans will take on each other and the historic course at Southview County Club beginning with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
In addition to the scramble golf tournament, the Classic will also feature an on-site dinner and program. While the winners from the day's action will be recognized during the event, the highest honors will be paid to the 1977 Gophers. The '77 squad finished fourth at the NCAA Championships, one of the program's best finishes under the guidance of long-time head coach Wally Johnson, and will be celebrated during the evening's program.
Details about tomorrow's event are included in the brochure attached above.
Be sure to check back on GopherSports.com for a recap of the event and follow Gopher Wrestling on Facebook and Twitter to see photos from throughout the day.
