MINNEAPOLIS (GopherSports.com) -- Gopher Hockey, in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, announced the team's 20-game conference schedule on Wednesday as Minnesota prepares for its third season competing in the Big Ten and 95th overall campaign.

The Gophers host Ohio State to kick off the Big Ten schedule at Mariucci Arena, Dec. 4-5, before closing out the first half of the season at Michigan, Dec. 11-12, in a rematch of last year's Big Ten Men's Ice Hockey Tournament championship game.

Minnesota returns to Big Ten action with a road trip to Penn State, Jan. 8-9, then hosts Michigan State, Jan. 15-16, before rounding out the month at Wisconsin, Jan. 22-23. February opens with a home series against the Nittany Lions, Feb. 5-6, followed by the team's second series with the Wolverines, Feb. 25-26, at Mariucci Arena.

East Lansing marks the Maroon & Gold's final regular-season road trip of the year, March 4-5, while the Gophers close out the regular-season on home ice for the third year in a row when the Badgers come to Mariucci Arena, March 11-12.

The Big Ten Men's Ice Hockey Tournament also returns to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, March 17-18.

Minnesota's complete nonconference schedule will be released at a later date as will times and television rights for the 2015-16 season.

The 2015-16 Gopher Hockey season marks the 95th campaign in program history. Minnesota enters the season having won four-straight regular-season conference championships for the first time in modern history while the team swept the Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles last year -- just the fourth time in program history the Gophers have won both titles in one year.
