One of the greatest staples of the Minnesota State Fair, which begins today, is the wide variety of food. Whether its deep fried, covered in chocolate, on a stick or all of the above, the Great Minnesota Get Together has almost any delectable treat you can imagine. Picking one favorite fair food is difficult, but we posed the question to some of our student-athletes anyways. See below for their favorites.

Scott Ekpe (#97, DL): The giant turkey leg.

Brandon Lingen (#86, TE): Hmmm favorite state fair food...t's gotta be Sweet Martha's cookies. Bucket, of course. Only way.

Mitch Leidner (#7, QB): Corn dogs, by far. Foot long corn dogs.

Nate Wozniak (#80, TE): Elephant ears.

Steven Richardson (#96, DT): That big old turkey leg.

Now we know what some of Gophers will be eating on a stick this year, what foods will you grab at the State Fair?
