2017 - SENIOR SEASON: Started all 12 games - recorded 23 tackles, forced one fumble and recovered one fumble - won the Defensive Trench Award - All-Big Ten Honorable Mention - Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Started against Buffalo - made one tackle against Oregon State - saw action against Middle Tennessee - notched four tackles including one for a loss of one yard against Maryland - recorded two tackles against Purdue - forced one fumble and made three tackles including one for a loss against Michigan State - recovered a fumble against Illinois - notched three tackles against Iowa - competed against Michigan - registered four tackles against Nebraska - tallied three tackles against Northwestern - notched two tackles including one for a loss against Wisconsin. 

2016 - JUNIOR SEASON: Played in 13 games and started 11 - recorded 31 tackles, led team with 11 tackles for loss and added seven sacks - Academic All-Big Ten - All-Big Ten Third Team. Game-by-Game: Recorded three tackles, one sack and recovered one fumble - notched three tackles against Indiana State - made four tackles, including four for a loss and one sack against Colorado State - made one tackle at Penn State - registered three tackles against Iowa - recorded one tackle at Maryland - tallied four tackles and a sack against Rutgers - competed at Illinois - forced one fumble and made two sacks against Purdue - made three tackles at Nebraska - forced one fumble and had two sacks against Northwestern - made one tackle at Wisconsin and made one tackle against Washington State.

2015 - SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in 10 games and started nine - missed three games due to injury - made 26 tackles, including 8.0 tackles-for-loss (second on team) - finished second on team with 3.5 sacks for a loss of nine yards - broke up two passes and added a quarterback hurry - forced and recovered a fumble - named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by the conference coaches - Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Tallied one tackle, including .5 sack, against TCU - registered a career-high seven tackles with three coming behind the line of scrimmage, forced and recovered a fumble, broke up a pass and added a sack at Colorado State - made two tackles versus Kent State - totaled four tackles, including a sack, and added a pass breakup against Ohio - recorded four tackles at Northwestern - tallied four tackles, including 2.5 tackles-for-loss and a sack at Purdue - registered a solo stop versus Nebraska - notched three tackles with one coming behind the line of scrimmage against Michigan - started versus Illinois, but did not record any statistics - competed against Central Michigan, but did not record a statistic.

2014 - FRESHMAN SEASON: Started 12 of 13 games played - made 23 tackles - notched 6.0 tackles-for-loss, including 2.0 sacks, and forced one fumble - named the Gophers' Defensive Freshman of the Year. Game-by-Game: Recorded three tackles and .5 sack in his Minnesota and collegiate debut against Eastern Illinois - made two tackles, including one tackle-for-loss, against Middle Tennessee - started at TCU and made one tackle - tallied two tackles, including one tackle-for-loss, against San Jose State - recorded one tackle-for-loss at Michigan - notched two tackles, including .5 sack, against Northwestern - made one tackle against Purdue - tallied four tackles at Illinois - made 1.5 tackles-for-loss (one sack) and forced a fumble against Iowa - made one tackle against Ohio State - assisted on one tackle at Nebraska - notched one tackle at Wisconsin - made two tackles against Missouri, including .5 tackle-for-loss.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Mount Carmel High School in Chicago - won back-to-back state titles, starting with the Class 8A championship in 2012 - the Caravan posted a 13-1 record en route to the 2013 Class 7A state title - tallied two sacks during the championship game, and helped Mount Carmel's defense hold its opponent to 71 yards of offense - anchored a defense that notched six shutouts and allowed more than 10 points in only four games - made 64 tackles as a senior, which included 34 tackles-for-loss and 17 sacks - forced two fumbles and recovered one fumble - coached by Frank Lenti - lettered in track and field - ranked as a three-star prospect by Rivals, 247Sports and Scout, while ESPN gave him two stars - Rivals listed him as the No. 37 player in Illinois, while 247Sports had him at No. 46 and ESPN had him at No. 57 - Scout ranked him as the No. 63 defensive tackle in the nation, while 247Sports had him at No. 89.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 28, 1996 - son of Steven and Valerie Richardson - has two brothers (Alex and Jordan) and one sister (Lauren).
