Around the Bases with Tyler Hanson

Tyler Hanson made 14 appearances as a primary reliever out of the bullpen last season. The junior has hurled 33 innings to compliment a 3-0 record in his career with the Gophers. Gopher Sports recently caught up with the Savage, Minn. native to see how things were going.
Gopher Sports: What's your favorite flavor of sunflower seeds?
Tyler Hanson: Giants brand, bacon ranch and only bacon ranch.
GS: What MLB hitter/pitcher would you most like to face?
TH: Giancarlo Stanton, because I would like to be a part of the farthest homerun of all-time.
GS: What has been your favorite moment as a Gopher so far?
TH: Playing the Minnesota Twins last year at Hammond Stadium.
GS: What is your favorite superhero?
TH: The Hulk because I believe we have a lot of the same physical characteristics
GS: What are you looking forward to this season?
TH: Competing with the teammates!
GS: If not baseball, what other sport would you most enjoy playing at the University of Minnesota?
TH: Gymnastics because I can do some mean cartwheels and somersaults and am ready to step up.
GS: What is your go-to walk-up song?
TH: Anything Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus.
