Traffic Advisory: Events on Campus Friday Night

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota campus will be very busy Friday evening with the Gophers hosting women's hockey, women's tennis, and softball at home on campus along with homecoming festivities, including the homecoming parade, taking place.
Fans should expect road closures and heavy traffic on campus. University Avenue will be closed from 10th Ave to Oak Street from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the homecoming parade. University Ave. traffic will be detoured two blocks north to 5th Street, and the University Ave. parking ramp will be inaccessible during the time that University Ave. is closed as well.
Fans attending events on campus are encouraged to plan ahead and know where they are going to park before arriving on campus. It is encouraged to avoid exiting onto University Ave. from I-35W and instead use the Huron Boulevard exit off I-94 as an alternative if possible.
For single game parking, please use the 4th Street Ramp or Lot 37.
