"We had a great showing as a team on Tuesday, just a great way to open the season and set the tone. Wednesday was a long travel day, going from Lawrence to Nevis, so it was nice to be able to settle in when we got here and have a little fun playing volleyball."
"We went on a short run once we all got settled in, but then it was time to jump in the lake."
"The first day of camp ended with a fantastic team meal of spaghetti and meatballs. Tomorrow should be a bit more exciting, but all in all it was a great first day in Nevis!"
Training never ends for the University of Minnesota men's cross country program, and this week is no different for the Gophers.
While Minnesota celebrated a team and individual title on Tuesday night at the Bob Timmons Dual Classic, Wednesday morning saw the team wake up in Lawrence, Kan., and fall asleep in Nevis, Minn., as the team took off for its annual preseason camp in Northern Minnesota.
Redshirt senior captain Aaron Bartnik, an All-Big Ten honoree who picked up his second-career win at the Bob Timmons Dual Classic, was kind enough to volunteer to take pictures and share some notes and thoughts as the team prepares for the 2015 cross country season.
