Tonight's game was the 169th all-time meeting, with Purdue holding a 92-77 margin. The game was the 82nd all-time meeting in Minneapolis, with the Gophers losing for the first time in the past three contests her and holding a 51-31 lead in those games. Richard Pitino is now 2-3 versus Purdue. Coach Pitino's third-year record at Minnesota stands at 49-43, and his four-year career mark is now 67-57.

STARTING FIVE
For just the second time this season, head coach Richard Pitino utilized a starting lineup of junior Charles Buggs, sophomores Bakary Konate and Nate Mason, and freshmen Dupree McBrayer and Jordan Murphy. Mason is the lone Minnesota player to have started all 21 games for the Gophers this season.

MASON DISHES OUT DIMES
Nate Mason led Minnesota with 15 points and dished out a career-high 12 assists to become the first Gophers player with a point-assist double-double since DeAndre Mathieu had 13 points and 11 assists versus UNCW on Dec. 27, 2014. It is the most assists for a Gopher since Adam Boone had 12 versus South Dakota State on Dec. 23, 2005, and is the first career double-double for Mason. He turned the ball over just once in 35 minutes, was 6-of-15 from the field, and also grabbed three rebounds.
