Gophers Head to Betsy Rawls Invitational

After a couple weeks off, the Gophers head to Austin, Texas to compete in the 45th annual Betsy Rawls Tournament. Minnesota joins 14 programs as the tournament takes place over three days at the par-71, 7,412 yard UT Golf Club. The tournaments is set for October 17-18.
Teams are set to tee off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, followed by an 8:45 a.m. shotgun on Tuesday. The Gophers will begin their day competing on hole 12.
The Maroon and Gold enter a talent field, consisting of six teams ranked in Golfweek's top 50. No. 10 Kent State, No. 11 Miami, No. 22 SMU, No. 27 Baylor, No. 40 Texas Tech, New Mexico, North Florida, Notre Dame, Texas State, Tulane, Tulsa, UNLV and host No. 19 Texas round out the field of 15.
Comprising the Gophers lineup this weekend will be junior Heather Ciskowski, sophomore Muyu Wu, senior Emie Peronnin, junior Sabrine Garrison and sophomore Niamh Ward. Fellow sophomore Maggie Heggerston will compete individually.
Minnesota last competed at the Lady Paladin Invitational. They finished tied for 15th with junior Heather Ciskowski leading the way for the second straight tournament. She placed 45th overall.
