Gophers Open Play at Betsy Rawls

AUSTIN, Texas - After 36 holes Monday at the University of Texas Golf Club, the Minnesota women's golf team stands in a tie for ninth place at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational.
A pair of Gophers are among the top-30 individuals, as senior Emie Peronnin (74-76-150) and sophomore Muyu Wu (74-76-150) both are tied for 27th place at 6-over-par. Classmates Sabrine Garrison (75-78-153) and Heather Ciskowski (76-77-153) are tied for 42nd as the juniors finished the day at 9-over-par.
Sophomore Niamh Ward rounded out the lineup tied for 63rd (79-80-159, +15) while individual competitor Maggie Heggerston tied for 72nd (84-82-166, +22).
Miami's Dewi Weber has the individual lead by 10 strokes after the second round at 15-under-par, while her Hurricanes squad has the team lead at 6-under-par. The Gophers (299-307-606) are deadlocked with Texas State at 30-over-par.
The final round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational gets underway Tuesday morning with a 8:45 a.m. shotgun start.
