Homecoming Tip-Off Draws Crowd

Golden Gopher men's and women's basketball fans had the opportunity to watch both teams on Saturday afternoon. The Homecoming Tip-Off featured intrasquad scrimmages, on-court interviews and an autograph session.
The Gold Team, led by Carlie Wagner and Kenisha Bell, beat the Maroon Team 52-44 in the women's 14-minute scrimmage. Both teams' scoring featured a plethora of 3-pointers.
In the men's game, Gold beat Maroon 22-15. Nate Mason scored eight points, Dupree McBrayer six and Ahmad Gilbert five.
The Gopher women's home opener against Harvard is scheduled for Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. The next opportunity to see the men's team is Nov. 3 for an exhibition game against Bemidji State, before the Nov. 11 regular season opener against UL-Lafayette. Please visit mygophersports.com for ticket information.
