The University of Minnesota men's gymnastics program has been ranked No. 4 in the 2017 Preseason NCAA Men's Gymnastics Poll, announced today by the College Gymnastics Association (CGA).

"This is the highest preseason ranking we've received since I've been here, and it's a real testament to the hard work these guys put in every day in the gym," said head coach Mike Burns. "After a solid showing at the 2016 NCAA Championship we are geared up for another strong season. We'll get things underway a couple weeks after the new year starts and we're planning to hit the ground running."

The Gophers placed sixth at the 2016 NCAA Championship, their top team finish in nine years.
Minnesota returns 18 of 20 on their roster, including All-Americans Zach Liebler, Joel Gagnon and Justin Karstadt.

Single meet tickets for 2017 home events are on sale now at mygophersports.com. Minnesota welcomes the public to the program's annual Maroon vs. Gold intrasquad meet on Dec. 14 at the Sports Pavilion. The meet will begin at 4 p.m.
