Three Gophers Earn NSCAA Scholar Honors

University of Minnesota seniors Rashida Beal and Josee Stiever have been selected to the 2016 Senior College Women's Scholar All-America Division I Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
In addition, Beal and Stiever, along with junior Maddie Gaffney, were named to the 2016 NSCAA NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-North/Central Region Teams.
Beal boasts a 3.95 GPA and studies psychology and neuroscience. She was tabbed to the First Team for both the All-America and All-North/Central Region.
Stiever holds a 3.47 GPA as a communication studies major, and was selected to the Second Team for All-America and First Team for All-North/Central Region.
Gaffney currently has a 3.46 GPA as a kinesiology major and named to the Second Team for All-North/Central Region.
These honors place them among the best collegiate soccer players in the nation on the field and in the classroom.
