Edwards Named to B1G Honor Roll

Jessie Edwards has been named to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll. The conference honor is the first for the Leeming, Australia, native.

Edwards scored a career-high 29 points to lead Minnesota to a win against Belmont. She scored 11 points in the fourth quarter alone and shot 7-of-8 from the free throw line over the game.

Edwards is the third Gopher to earn a Big Ten weekly honor this season. Carlie Wagner (Nov. 21 Player of the Week Honor Roll) and Gadiva Hubbard (Dec. 5 Freshman of the Week) were previously recognized.
