Brooke Zeiger has been selected as CollegeSwimming’s Big Ten Swimmer of the Week. The Gophers junior broke the conference record in the 1,650-yard freestyle and also won the 400 individual medley at the AT&T Winter National Championships.
Zeiger took 16 seconds off her previous best time in the 1,650 as she won gold in 15:44.00 in Atlanta. In the 400 IM, she lowered her own school record to 4:02.71. Zeiger also opened the Gophers’ winning 800 free relay with a 1:47.92 split.
