The Golden Gophers kicked off the 2016 Big Ten Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in West Lafayette, Ind., tonight with the opening relays. After night one, Minnesota is currently in eighth place with 90 points.
Minnesota's team of Daryl Turner, Conner McHugh, Paul Fair and Bowe Becker placed fifth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:25.76.
Gophers Jakub Maly, Ben Bravence, Noah Busch and Ryan Miksch finished ninth in the 800 free relay with a time of 6:31.47.
ACTION CONTINUES
The 2016 B1G Championships will resume Thursday, Feb. 25 at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center with prelims of the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free and 1-meter diving beginning at 10:00 a.m. CT.
