Gophers Tied For 11th After Two Rounds

MIAMI - The University of Minnesota women's golf team is tied with fellow Big Ten member Purdue in 11th place after the second round of the Hurricane Invitational on Tuesday. The Gophers posted a team score of 295 to reach a two-day total of 587 after 36 holes at the Biltmore Golf Club.
Junior Emie Peronnin had the low round of the day for the Gophers, finishing one-over for a two-day score of 147 (75-72), tied for 35th place. One stroke ahead of her is sophomore Heather Ciskowski, who is tied for 27th at four-over-par 146 (72-74).
Also within one stroke is freshman Muyu Wu, who is tied for 40th place (75-73-148). Classmate Maggie Heggerston is tied for 53rd at 150 (74-76) while sophomore Sabrine Garrison is among a tie for 75th place (71-84-155).
Freshman Niamh Ward, competing individually, is 89th among the field (75-87-162).
Hannah Kim of Northwestern maintained the lead, as she is seven-under-par pacing her Wildcats to the top of the team leaderboard at 552.
The Hurricane Invitational concludes Wednesday with a final-round shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. ET.
