Purdy Named Coach of USA Swimming Open Water Select Camp

Golden Gophers senior assistant coach Ryan Purdy has been selected as a coach for this year's USA Swimming Open Water Select Camp.

The Open Water Select Camp offers an unique experience that seeks to prepare 24 of the nation's top distance swimmers for international open water events. The camp will run from May 31 through June 4 at Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, Fl.

Purdy is the primary coach for Minnesota's distance swimmers and has helped coach Gopher open water swimmers including Samantha Harding and Christine Jennings.
