Gophers Conclude Play at Big Tens

INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota women's golf team finished 11th at the Big Ten Championships, which concluded Sunday at the par-72, 6,221-yard Fort Golf Course.
Minnesota finished with a total score of 878 (297-287-294), led by sophomore Heather Ciskowski. The Barrington, Ill., native posted her second-straight round below par to finish among a tie for 30th at four-over-par (78-71-71--220).
Two Gophers were two strokes behind, as junior Emie Peronnin (74-73-75--222) and freshman Niamh Ward (73-72-77--222) tied for 39th at six-over-par.
Sophomore Sabrine Garrison was one shot back, tying for 44th (77-71-75--223). Freshmen Muyu Wu (76-79-73--228) and Maggie Heggerston (74-80-76--230) finished tied for 65th and in 74th place, respectively.
Northwestern and Ohio State tied for the team title at 12-under-par 852, while Purdue's August Kim claimed the individual medalist honor with a score of nine-under-par 207.
The Gophers await the announcement of the NCAA Regional field, which will be unveiled on Monday at 5:00 p.m. live on the Golf Channel.
