Both Golden Gopher swimming and diving teams have been named spring Scholar All-America teams by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). Minnesota also earned this designation in the fall.
To receive Scholar All-America team honors, a team must achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or better during the previous semester. The Gopher women’s team turned in a 3.36 GPA as a group, and the men’s team had a 3.09.
The CSCAA, the oldest organization of college coaches in America, was founded in 1922. It has recognized teams and student-athletes through the Scholar All-America program for more than 30 years.
