Gophers Finish 20th in WGCA GPA Rankings

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The University of Minnesota women's golf team finished the year as one of the top performers in the classroom nationally, ranking 20th in team grade point average. The results came as the Women's Golf Coaches Association announced its WGCAAll-Scholar Team GPA Award on Wednesday.
Minnesota completed the 2015-16 academic year with a team GPA of 3.689, placing 20th out of women's golf programs across the NCAA's Division I, II and III.
Earlier this month, the WGCA awarded All-American Scholar plaudits to five Gophers in junior Emie Peronnin, sophomores Sabrine Garrison and Celia Kuenster, and freshmen Niamh Ward and Muyu Wu.
Lindenwood University took the top honors with a team GPA of 3.901.
