CALGARY, Alberta - The U.S. Women's Under-22 Select Team recorded a 3-2 win over Canada's National Women's Development Team as the annual Under-22 Series wrapped up Saturday evening at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta.

With eight Gophers representing their respective teams, Sarah Potomak was the lone Gopher to record a point in game three of the Under-22 Series. Potomak set up Canada's first-period goal by Rebecca Leslie, and the score was tied 1-1 at the first intermission.

The second period saw the teams exchange goals before the U.S. received the game-winning goal from Melissa Samoskevich at the 14:03 mark. The teams went on to play a scoreless third period.

For the three-game series, Potomak led the Gopher representatives with three points on one goal and two assists. Alex Woken scored one goal for the U.S., and Kelly Pannek and Cara Piazza each tallied one assist for the Red, White, and Blue. Lindsay Agnew (Canada), Sydney Baldwin (U.S.), Patti Marshall (U.S.), and Taylor Williamson (U.S.) also represented their countries.

Gophers assistant coach Nadine Muzerall served as an assistant for Canada during the series, and Minnesota's associate head coach Joel Johnson is head coach of the U.S. Under-18 Team.
