FULL SCHEDULE

The University of Minnesota men's gymnastics team has announced their 2017 competition schedule, which includes four home competitions, in addition to the annual intrasquad and alumni meets. The Gophers are scheduled to go head-to-head against the top four programs from the 2016 NCAA Championships.

The alumni meet will be held at the Sports Pavilion on campus on Jan. 7, and will celebrate new Hall of Fame inductees.

Minnesota will kick off the regular season at the Windy City Invitational, Jan. 14, where the Gophers will face strong Big Ten Conference competitors.

The Gophers will host Air Force at the Sports Pavilion (Jan. 21) before hitting the road for their first Big Ten Conference matchup at Illinois (Jan. 28).

Minnesota will return home to host Nebraska and the UMN Club Team on Feb. 4.

The Gophers are slated to face Iowa and the reigning National Champion, Oklahoma, in Iowa City (Feb. 11).

Tristan Duran has qualified for the 2017 Winter Cup on Feb. 16 and 18 after qualifying at the P&G Championships. Additional Gophers could join Duran at the prestigious meet.

Minnesota will make a stop at Palo Alto, Calif. for a NCAA and international mix as they take on Stanford, Japan and Canada (Feb. 25).

The Gophers will return to the Pav for back-to-back home meets. Minnesota will face Iowa and the Arizona State Club Team on March 11, and the University of Illinois at Chicago on March 18.

The Gophers will close the regular season at Nebraska on March 25.

"This is a challenging schedule, but one that will prepare our team for the postseason," head coach Mike Burns said. "The competition will be fierce every week-this team is ready to build on the success from 2016."

The 2017 Big Ten Championships will be hosted at Illinois (April 7-8), followed by both qualifying rounds and the NCAA Championships at Army (April 21-22).

The 2017 campaign marks the 13th season under head coach Mike Burns. Last season, the Gophers advanced to finals at the NCAA Championships for the first time in nine years, and finished third at the B1G Championships. The Gophers return 18 of 20 men from last year's squad and add one freshman to the 2017 roster.

Single tickets for Minnesota's home meets will be available mid-September on mygophersports.com.
