Austin Athmann (Connecticut Tigers) is on a six-game hitting streak. He has a .333 (13-39) batting average over his last ten games. Last Thursday, Athmann went 3-4 with one walk, one RBI and scored one run.
Matt Fiedler (Johnson City Cardinals) has collected five hits in his last three games. He went 2-3 with two RBIs and scored one run in Tuesday's game. Fiedler was named to the 2016 Appalachian League All-Star Team.
Jordan Jess (Bristol Pirates) pitched two scoreless innings of relief on Saturday. He recorded one strikeout and lowered his ERA to 2.29.
Ben Meyer (Greensboro Grasshoppers) made his seventh start of the season on Saturday. He went 4.2 innings where he allowed three earned runs and struck out four batters.
Dalton Sawyer (Vermont Lake Monsters) made a two inning relief appearance Tuesday night. He allowed one earned and struck out four batters.
