Gophers Help Create a Memory
8/5/2016 12:00:00 AM | Women's Cross Country
MINNEAPOLIS – On Wednesday night, Target Field transformed from the home of the Minnesota Twins to a playground for hundreds of area kids as the 30th Annual Create a Memory took place in downtown Minneapolis. Members of the women's cross country and track & field teams joined fellow Gophers from the baseball and men's basketball teams to help out at the event.
After being introduced individually to the crowd, the Gophers helped out at a variety of activity stations, including slow-pitch softball, kickball, wiffleball, home run derby, speed pitch and more. Kids had the chance to tour Target Field and run the bases, while also meeting some of their favorite Gophers at the autograph table.
