GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Minnesota women's golf team posted its best team score of the weekend, finishing the final round of the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman University Golf Club.

The Gophers finished tied for 15th, along with Mercer University, scoring 43-over-par over the three-day tournament (305-304-298-907).

Leading the way for the Gophers was junior Heather Ciskowski, whose 1-under-par round Sunday helped her to a tie for 46th place at 8-over-par (77-76-71-224). A pair of Gophers in senior Emie Peronnin (77-77-75-229) and sophomore Muyu Wu (81-73-75-229) were close behind, tying for 60th at 13-over-par.

Junior Sabrine Garrison was one shot behind, tying for 64th (75-78-77-230) while sophomore Maggie Heggerston trailed her by one stroke, among a tie for 70th (76-78-77-231). Gopher sophomore Niamh Ward (78-78-82-238) tied for 92nd, competing as an individual.

Texas edged host Furman to claim the team title at 11-under par, while the Longhorns' Emilee Hoffman was the medalist at 6-under-par.

Next up for the Gophers is a trip to Austin, Texas, taking part in the Betsy Rawls Invitational on October 17 and 18.
